A great man…

Today, we, Xaverians from St. Xavier’s Institution Penang had received a terrible loss. Our Brother Director, Brother Karl Wolff also better known as Brother Charles Levin has to leave us for the Creator.

According to The Star newspaper, he passed away today, 14th October 2012, of sepsis at 4.14am. He was 85.

When I woke up this morning, as my morning Facebooking routine, I was pretty shocked I saw a few of my friends posting “RIP Brother Charles” and so. At first I thought it was just a joke or prank but after reading several posts, I began to doubt my doubt. I just couldn’t accept this shocking news!

Just a couple days ago, I still saw him, lingering around the school, with his usual stick, strolling along the corridor and now he’s gone? For me, I just can’t accept it! Although he never taught me in class, but from the first day I had ever step into this school, I knew this man is a great man! I have my utter respect towards him.

When I was Form 2, I went to his German lesson couple of times. As I was young and I didn’t have the passion to learn German language, he still taught us well, with passion and patience. I still can remember our class started at 7am and we will be leaving around 7.40am, through the Brother’s Quarter. Used to always greet in German every morning, “Guten Morgen, Bruder Charles”…

Having Brother Charles to leave us, is truly a great loss. In the year 2009, our last Brother principal, Brother Paul retired, a year later, great Brother Brendan passed away and now our last Brother Director had to leave us. Seriously, I really what will happen to St. Xavier’s Institution after this. No more figure to defend our school’s mission, vision, legacy and tradition.

We will always pray for you, as for the students and the children of St. Xavier, we will always hold our Lasallian principles. Rest in peace.

Auf wiedersehen….

It’s FINALLY OPEEEEEEEENN! Welcome to LEGOLAND Malaysia! The first LEGO themed park in ASIA! (Wooo~ So proud being a Malaysian)
Legoland-malaysia-LEGO
Legoland Malaysia is located at Nusajaya, Johor. It’s just a few kilometer from Singapore, approx 10-15 minutes drive maybe? Anyway, for us, the Malaysian, it’s in Johor. If you don’t know where is Johor, Google Map your way out, man!

Well, for your information, Maybank is giving out tickets for LEGOLAND! Details here. I kinda stumble across this, so maybe I should just try it out? (Like duhhhh)
Question: “Why Maybank should give me tickets to Legoland?”
BAMMIE WHAM!
Easy! This is because I have travel so many places, and tried all kind of theme park already. For example,
Sunway Lagoon and Lost World of Tambun,

Genting Highland Theme Park
600-genting02
and even Bukit Merah Theme Park
Bukit Merah Theme Park
These parks are mostly Malaysian choice for water theme park and I love them! Thus, I would love to visit LEGOLAND because I heard the dry and water theme park are equally awesome? Seriously? Don’t tempt me lah!
They even have a rebuild of KL Tower and Petronas Twin Tower in Johor!

In Legos, of course. How surreal they can rebuild it and looks almost exactly the same!
As adventurous and aqua-seeker as I am, LEGOLAND Malaysia is a must for me to visit one day. Even me, a Penangite, from the north Malaysia can take the challenge of taking transportation as long as 10hrs to travel to Johor, just for LEGOLAND, well I can say that it will be a worthwhile trip! Just look at the amount of people, craviiiing for it!

Neither the less, for those who love theme park and water park, LEGOLAND Malaysia is a must to visit! Why?
1. It’s LEGO! Who doesn’t like LEGO?
2. It’s just in Johor. If you want to go to another LEGOLAND, it will be another 11000 kilometers away. Why not travel just 500 kilometers (from Penang) only?
3. The price is AFFORDABLE! Serious, not joking at all. It’s just RM140 for an adult price. Check it out here!

As a sedan lover, I would say…. DAMNN! Just look at the DESIGN, sleek, smooth and smooth and supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. 3 colours to choose from; I love the Platinum Graphite, a very ambiance colour.

You can view some picture of the interior look beside this. From what I see, I love the bluetooth handle button. Such an ease for the driver. Furthermore, check out the seat! Looks comfy for me.

Check out the exterior nearer. YOU really should see the fine design of the car. I would say I love the streamline of the car and the front light. They give me a feeling that it’s ready to rock the road! Too awesome for a car, right?

Well, from the price RM143,888, you get an 8-way electronically-controlled seat with an integrated memory seat function, which retains settings for two drivers based on their seating position. In terms of safety, the car comes equipped with six airbags (dual front, front side and full length-curtain) and an electronic stability programme incorporating ABS, EBD, TCS, brake assist and hill-start assist control.

I mean, for such a performable car with HPD (high performance dampers) as part of its suspension setup, it’s really a joy to us as drivers to drive!

Final word from me, for those who doesn’t own a car or planning to buy one,
